INTRODUCTION
Double-Compression Gland as per IS13947 or as per BS-6121 the compression happens both at the cable armour as well as at the inner sheath. This is sort of two sealing. Hence, chances of moisture or vapour entry are minimised. Thus these glands are also known as Weather-proof cable glands or Flame-proof cable glands. Double compression glands provide extra support to the heavy armored cables entering or exiting the panel

Weather Proof Glands are used in Regular Climatic Conditions, Which are Water Proof & Dust Proof (IP 67) with the Protection of PVC Hood it can be used in Different Areas.
Flame Proof Glands are generally used in harazdous area, as well as in normal climatic conditions also, which are also weather proof, water proof & dust proof (IP 66). With the protection of PVC Hood it can be used in different areas.
